Build with Becky: Re-Intuit

RE-INTUIT (リ・イントゥイット)

Ohisashiburi (お久しぶり) is a Japanese phrase meaning “it’s been a while” … kind of like saying “long time no see!”

That’s exactly what this next phase of Build with Becky is all about.

We’re revisiting familiar movement patterns with our lived experience behind us. Instead of trying to repeat exactly what you did before, you’ll have the chance to notice what has changed, and make decisions based on the person you’ve become today. 🔄

Today, I did a hinge variation that I haven’t done since last fall…and it was incredible to jump in, already familiar with the pattern, only to find that what used to be a week 5 personal best for me has become my week 1 (aka baby giraffe—iykyk) baseline!

This 5-week phase is about revisiting and re-intuiting how to become a better, stronger version of yourself: learning to lift with intention and trust yourself a little more each week.

Whether you’re starting from scratch or building on your baselines, at the start of each workout, I’ll invite you to pause for a moment and ask yourself what makes the most sense today. Maybe your energy is high and you’re ready to push. Maybe a different variation fits your body better. Maybe today’s win is simply showing up and moving well.

This phase of Build with Becky gives you a clear roadmap like always:

  • ✅ up to 3 full-body progressive, pattern-based strength training workouts per week,
  • ✅ simple, follow-along warm-up & intraset mobility,
  • ✅ plus challenging finishers and a mindful moment to give yourself more grace and make the pace more sustainable and personalized.

For the next 5 weeks, we’re (re)-focusing on the hinge and pull patterns (specifically hip thrust and chin-up variations), with evidence-based guidance and support woven throughout!

The difference is that you’ll practice making thoughtful adjustments instead of feeling like you’ve failed if the workout doesn’t look exactly like it did or progress exactly as planned from last week.

That’s a skill worth building.

Because the goal isn’t to become dependent on a program forever. It’s to become someone who knows how to use one well!
