Ever look at someone else and think "(S)/he's so lucky...everything always seems to work out for them"? 🧐

Is it Luck...or Do they have Discipline?

Obviously life isn't fair and some people do just have more or less "luck" than others...and on top of that, systemic bias, environment, and more impact our health outcomes far more than we like to admit.

That said...sometimes, it's also worth revisiting the urge to label others "lucky" and get a bit more curious about how they might be practicing habits and routines that support the outcomes they are after in life!

Because (generally) in life, as much as we may want it to, luck won’t fall from the sky...rather, we build our own luck in the quiet actions that we keep consistently showing up for (even when the spring breakers and new year resolutionists fall off):

  • βœ… Choosing that balanced meal, downtime, and much-needed early bedtime when stress looms & recovery is needed,
  • βœ… Continuing to follow through with the regularly-scheduled lifts on your weekly calendar
  • βœ… Taking that morning walk you don't always feel like taking
  • βœ… Prioritizing social connection that feeds you instead of draining you

Luck favors those who show up, consistently:
