Happy Weekend! 🥳

Anyone else ever accidentally just start taking life, fitness, …everything… way too seriously during the week? 🙋‍♀️

This morning I had the MOST lovely, intuitive morning movement sesh. No plan, no notes, no goal other than moving my body and feeling good, and dang I needed the reminder that all movement is good movement and to give yourself full permission to move the way you want to move and rest and recover the way your body is craving now and then!

Yes - I generally advocate following a well-structured strength training program, eating mindfully, etc - AND - just remember: bodies don’t really log and track grams of protein consumed, pounds lifted, and steps taken! 🤷‍♀️

They just know “oof that was hard”; “I’m hungry / I’m full” or “I feel lethargic and low energy”. From time to time it’s wise to take a mindful moment, pause, and also just listen closely and honor what your body is saying - which, reminder, may mean:

  • more OR less movement (or just different types of movement!) 💪 🏃‍♀️ 🧘‍♀️
  • more OR less food 🥗
  • more OR less rest & recovery ❤️‍🩹
